Check your Internet Connection

Default Proxy Settings

Switch to default proxy setting to see if the problem due to any setting getting mismatched. To restore your Proxy Settings to default follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Open Search bar from the Start menu.

Step 2: Type Internet Connection and press Enter.

Step 3: Go to connection tab and click on LAN settings.

Step 4: Uncheck “Use a proxy server from your LAN”.

Step 5: Check “Automatically detects settings”.

Step 6: Click Ok then apply to save the change.

Using Registries Disable Proxy Settings

Step 1: Open RUN by pressing Windows + R key together.

Step 2: Type regedit and press Enter.

Step 3: Navigate to the following key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Internet Settings

Step 4: Select and remove the following keys by right-clicking it.

  1. Proxy Override
  2. Migrate Proxy
  3. Proxy Enable
  4. Proxy Server

Step 5: Restart your system to save the made changes.

Internet and Network Adapter Troubleshoot

Let Windows detect and fix the problem using the in-built Internet and Network Adaptor Troubleshooter.

Step 1: In the search bar type troubleshoot settings and click OK.

Step 2: Select Internet Connection and run the troubleshooter.

Step 3: After completing the process, select Network Adaptor and run the troubleshooter.

Step 4: Wait for the process to complete and restart your computer.

Reset Your Chrome Settings to Default

If you are using Google Chrome browser then this method is for you. Manu users have reported that their proxy server error was fixed by resetting the browser to default setting. Resetting Chrome settings will delete all the extensions and cache files. If you have important data stored in them, kindly make a backup. To restore Chrome to Default Settings follow the instructions

Step 1: Click the three-dot or menu icon in the top right corner of Google Chrome.

Step 2: From Option, select Settings.

Step 3: Find and open Advanced.

Step 4: Under the reset and Clean-up section, click “Restore settings to their original defaults”.

Step 5: Select Reset Settings.

Your browser will now be at its default settings, check if this fixes the proxy server issue.

Reinstall your Current Browser or Try a Different Browser
