How to Resolve Outlook Stuck on the Loading Profile Problem

Method 1: Close Background Processes

As we have earlier mentioned that too many programs running in the background may lead to this error especially Office related services. So kindly close those processes by following the below mention steps:

Step 1: On your keyboard press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager>then find Office related processes, select them, and tap on End Task. It includes other Office Apps and Office processes such as Click to Run

Method 3: Create New Outlook Profile

Step 1: First of all select Control Panel from the search results> Now in the Control Panel, find and Select Mail. It will open the Mail Setup Window

Step 3: Then type in a name for your new profile>Configure your email settings and then click Next. Outlook will check and connect to the mail servers.

Step 4: Once you are done, then change Always Use this Profile from Outlook to your new profile>tap on OK and then launch Outlook.

Method 4: Repair Corrupted Office Files

In this method it is suggested to repair corrupted Office files. To do the same follow the below mention guidelines:

Step 1: Use the Search bar to find Control Panel>In the Control Panel, select the Programs and Features

Step 2: Now from the list, find Microsoft Office & select it>tap on Change. This will open a Window

Step 3: Then select Quick Repair and after that click on Repair

Method 5: Disconnect your device from the Internet

If you are still struggling with Outlook Stuck on the Loading Profile Problem then kindly disconnect your device from the Internet. To do so follow the below mention instructions:

Disconnect Wi-Fi

Step 1: First of all click the notification icon in the bottom right in order to open Action Center>In the Action Center, tap on Network

Step 2: Tap on Wi-Fi to turn it off. Enabling Airplane Mode will also turn off Wi-Fi

Disconnect LAN

Step 1: Open the Start Menu and then search for Control Panel>Select Control Panel from the search results

Step 2: Under the Control Panel, navigate to Network and Sharing Center>In the left bar, tap on Change Adapter Settings

Step 3: Firstly right-click on your Ethernet Adapter & then select Disable. This will disconnect your LAN Connection. And you can enable the connection by right-clicking adapter and selecting Enable

Method 6: Run Outlook as an Administrator

Several Users have claimed that running outlook as an Administrator worked for them so it is advised to do so.

Here’s how:

Step 1: In the search bar, type in Outlook>In the search results, right-click on Outlook & select Run As an Administrator

Step 2: Tap Yes in the dialog asking for confirmation, it will run Outlook as an administrator

Method 7: Repair Corrupted Outlook Files

If none of the above mentioned methods works for you in resolving Outlook Stuck on the Loading Profile Problem then you should try to repair Outlook files.

Here’s how:

Step 1: First of all right-click the Outlook Shortcut>Select Properties. This will open the Properties Window

Step 2: Under the Shortcut tab, tap on Open File Location. This will open the installation directory>then locate SCANPST.EXE and then open it. The Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool will open and ask for a file to scan and repair.

Step 3: Tap on Browse and then go to directory below:


Replace *Username* with your username.

Step 4: Now select the profile you want to repair then tap on Start. The profiles are stored as OST files. The program will now start scanning the file for errors.

Step 5: Once done, click on OK and launch Outlook.
