  • Open File Explorer but before that, close Edge.

  • Now, go to the ‘C:\\Users\\UserName\\AppData\\Local\\Packages’ directory (Change “UserName” with your user name).

  • Remove ‘MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe’ folder after finding it.
  • Now, to continue, press ‘Yes’ on the approval window.
  • Once the process is completed, click ‘Yes’ on the appeared dialog box.
  • Click on the ‘Skip’ button in case the device refuses to delete some of the files.
  • Once done, restart the computer.
  • In the search box, type ‘Powershell’.
  • Right-click on it and opt for ‘Run as Administrator’.
  • Go to the ‘ cd C:\\users\\yourusername’ (Change “UserName” with your username).
  • Now, copy-paste the following command.

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\\\\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

  • Once completed, close Powershell and restart.

Solution 2- Change the User Account Control (UAC) Settings
